- Clubs in Manitoba - Where are the clubs located?
- Equipment - Do I bring my own or is it provided for lessons and camps?
- Water Conditions - What about water currents and high water conditions?
- Weather Conditions - Will my program be cancelled?
Answers:
Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that things come up and sometimes people can't make it to their lesson or program. Let us know and we will work with you to reschedule your participation to a new date that works for you. Failing that, refunds can be issued if necessary. We ask that you advise us as soon as possible. Because some programs have a limit to the number of registrations, there may be someone else who would love to have your spot. Letting us know ahead of time might give someone else the opportunity to participate.
Clubs in Manitoba
With the goal of making the sport of paddling available to all Manitobans, we are pleased to share the list of MPA clubs. If there currently isn't a club in your area, let MPA know! We'd love to work with your local community to get one started!
Equipment
When you or your children sign up for lessons or camps, our club provides all the required equipment and instruction to keep you safe. From the boats, paddles and personal flotation devices, we want you to focus on having fun and learning a new skill. But be sure to wear comfortable clothing (that you don't mind getting wet), bring a towel and a water bottle.
Water Conditions
Safety is our number one concern. If water conditions are deemed unsafe, we will make every attempt to cancel (in advance) and reschedule (if possible) your event.
Weather Conditions
This is Manitoba, so weather conditions change all the time. If it is simply raining, your program will still run (well, you were likely going to get wet anyway). If the weather is more extreme (such as high winds, thunder and lightning), your program will likely be cancelled and we will try to reschedule (if possible) your event.
